A security deposit of €1,000 is required before each rental by imprinting your bank card. It may be used in the event of damages, delays, tolls, excess mileage, or fines, as specified in our Terms and Conditions.

You can use the same card as the one used for booking or add a new one. Please ensure your bank’s limit is adjusted beforehand if it is below the required €1,000.

Your security deposit will be released within 48 hours after the end of your rental, following the completion of the checks: 1/ A photo inventory, one at the start and one at the end of the rental, conducted by JOOL’s team or an external partner. 2/ A visual inspection of the vehicle performed by JOOL’s team within 48 hours after the end of the rental.

Indeed, we conduct an end-of-rental inspection within 48 hours after the end of your rental to check that the car has not suffered any damage during the rental period. You will receive an email with a rental return report confirming the presence or absence of any damages.

You will then receive an email notifying you of any additional charges that may apply to your rental: late fees, toll fees, mileage, damages found on the car, or fines as outlined in our Terms and Conditions. Your security deposit will be released within 48 hours after the end of your rental, provided the end-of-rental inspection shows no damage and no additional charges apply.
