Yes, you can rent from Jool with a foreign driver’s license, under certain conditions.
If you hold a license issued by a country in the European Union or the European Economic Area*, no additional documents are required, provided that your license is valid in your country of origin.
If you hold a license from a non-EU/EEA country, the following conditions apply:
If your stay is less than 90 days, an official French translation of your license (or an international driving permit) is recommended. Failure to present one may result in a fine of €135 in case of a check.
If your stay is between 90 days and 1 year, you must provide a document proving the temporary duration of your stay (a stamp or visa on your passport) along with an official translation of your license.
If your stay exceeds 1 year, a French driver’s license is required (except for student visas).
If you do not comply with these conditions, you are solely responsible for any consequences resulting from non-compliance.
Please note that, in all cases, you must have held your license for more than 5 years and must not have had it revoked, suspended, or restricted.
